Abrasive cleaning - Regular floor pads
Our standard pad range includes low-speed floor pads, high-speed floor pads and ultra-high-speed floor pads. In general, the darker the colour of the pad, the more abrasive power it has. Dark coloured pads can be suitable for stripping floors. A lighter pad colour means fewer abrasive grains are added which means the pads are more suited for cleaning and polishing rather than stripping.
The largest share of the abrasive pads is composed of fibres. In order to enhance the strength and the durability of our pads, our regular abrasive floor pads are made of thicker diameter fibres than other pads available on the market. This is important as the abrasive pads are in use under heavy machines and must endure high resistance, pressure and high temperatures. Our floor pads have an open-web structure due to the usage of the thicker fibres. This open-web structure allows dirt and particles to be absorbed into the pad rather than clog up the surface. Also, the open-web structure protects the costly machines which use the pads from overheating. Because our pads are made of stronger and thicker fibres, they do not need to contain excessive amounts of abrasive elements. This reduces the risk of damaging the surface.
The endurance of a pad is dependent on many different factors. When used optimally 10.000 m2 can be cleaned with one pad, on the condition that the floors are maintained, the pads are cleaned after usage and the pads are not left under the machines after usage. Both sides can be used on all our regular pads. The rectangular pads can easily reach corners and wall edges. All our pads are made of 100% recycled polyester fibres.
